About Margaret Arrindell
Painting in oils from an early age, Margaret's passion for the Mediterranean light led her to become inspired by Spanish nature and culture which she captures in her work. Margaret's travels take her to Venezuela, Mexico and the Antilles where she is fascinated by the vibrant colours of the Caribbean, along with the Spanish colonial and Amerindian cultures of these lands. She captures moments in time and scenes of people and places in her paintings.
Strongly influenced by Impressionist works, Margaret's impasto, painterly style developed early on as an obvious way to reflect the romanticism of nature and life.
Her current work observes modern world intrusions on native, rustic life.
